The upcoming month will take me to China again to the Mustard Seed School in Zhengzhou. We will be working together on behalf of children with special needs to find suitable ways for differentiation in classes and to take a closer look on child development.

Training as Carer for Fruit Trees
This year I am learning to plant and look after fruit trees of different ages, pruning the right way at different times of the year, learning treatments against different diseases and considerations on grafting – a very rewarding work, I think.

New Course for Curative Teacher Training in Witten, Germany, on English as a Foreign Language with different approaches in primary, middle and high school, including methods and suitable materials for independent work in class.

Offered a workshop at The Kolisko, Conference in Hamilton, NZ on “Getting Grounded – Early Child Development and Connections to Nature “. The Kolisko Conference had the theme of How to heal Trauma. I met many like-minded people and made professional contacts.

Am now in Yunlin, joining a summer camp in an Elementary School working with teachers, parents and the farmer on concept development of a farm school.
Spent 10 days in China on my way back from NZ and Melbourne to teach 2 workshops at a Conference for Health in Education at the Chengdu Steiner School. My work was well received and I will be back in 2014 for several occasions to be fine tuned yet.

Coaching in curative Steiner school
Am currently mentoring the start into class 1- eight children, five multiply handicapped, three in wheelchairs and several carers to accompany them. How to feed the different needs as a team, what are the individual needs anyway? How to develop a daily routine and form a class, how to transport the program to colleagues and the school community – these are some of the questions i am dealing with. A heart warming affair.
In October I will be teaching a course at the Institute fuer Heilpaedagogische Lehrerausbildung in Witten, Germany, on Sensory-motor Development, Infant Reflex Integration and Larning Challenges for year 2 student teachers
Coaching in curative class 1
In September/October I will be working at the Troxler School in Wuppertal, Germany, a curative Steiner school. Together with the teachers we will devise a sensory-motor integration program for severly handicapped children in wheel chairs, set up Individual Support Plans and develop strategies as a support team
